Did you ever have one of those days when you were feeling a bit down? My foot is killing me (hopefully not in the literal sense) and I am 99.9% confident that I have a hairline stress fracture on the side of it. I should just bite the bullet and go to the emergency room to get an x-ray but I am so not in the mood to do that. I am tired, the dog got into the garbage again, I ran out of ink for the printer so nothing is being mailed today. It is just a blah day. So what do you do on your blah days? I grabbed my Bible and read through some of my most favorite books. One of them is Peter 2. It has highlighted and underlined passages throughout but one passage just jumped out at me today -
Cast all your worries upon him because he cares for you.
It is short, sweet and to the point and I just love that about that line. Give it all up to God, all the worries, all the sufferings, joys, sorrows and yes even the pain of the foot (among other areas), but while I am doing that I might as well offer it all up to him on behalf of someone else. Anyone can do that. This morning I had 2 people reach out to me for products, but they also told me their troubles. Lord I offer my aches and pains to you today; please let them ease the sufferings of these women. Amen.
Look what I found in my backyard now! My tiger lily plants are blooming. Now who can be a bit down when you are reminded of his beauty and love every day?
Have a blessed day!
